Hair on the edge of my bathtub that got caught in my fingers while I was washing my hair. I brushed it off and there it was.

“Running Dog”, “Red Head”, “Fat Lady”, “Big Lips” and ”Tweety”.

I see things differently. I am a synaesthete.

Hair, tar spots, wall damage, dirt on the floor or oatmeal in the dog bowl - they stop me in my tracks, as I see faces and figures staring back at me.

Synaesthesia is a luxury, they say, a form of evolution. Individual senses are interlinked and directly linked to emotions. An everyday firework display of perception.
